Google's First Page For Free

Is It Possible??

Who else wants to be on the first page of google? Everyone who has a webpage, blog or any other internet community. How many make it to the top? .000000000001 of 1% do you want to succeed? To reach the holy grail of google's first page for free

I can say without a shadow of a doubt YES!!

Why should you listen to me? Well there are quite a few companes that tell you can get ranked by google in days. This is true but what they don't tell you that the listing only last a few days. Even worse they can get you banned! I've been in No1 spot for 16 months now-enough said !

I started marketing online back in 1999 when yahoo and msn ruled the roost. I spent countless hours reading, researching, trial and error with limited success. Back then from time to time I broke into the top 20 for a few months at a time. Which also generated a decent income-fast forward to 2003 and I began to hear rumors of a new kid on the block. It was supposed to do things differently and make changes on the web known as Google.

Plus I had to overcome another hurdle as I'd relocated to Ninety Six, SC and to my dismay found out high speed internet is not readily available which slowed my progress a bit, but it didn't stop me. it was also during this time I realized the true power of web 2.0 and blogging

Since I had been studying I had pretty much figured out how msn and yahoo worked and it was a good relationship. Google however began to shake things up and it' never been the same. Luckily I'd already established a background in seo which is always a big help. Now after a year or so of testing I find myself in the number one spot. This was one of my goals from the beginning. Now you can take 10 yrs to get here or I can help cut your time and expenses to do the same. I'm willing to share what I've learned with you.

Over the last 2 yrs I began to see steady progress and this past week I really got a big surprise. Not only am I on the first page but in No 1 spot from over 230 million sites. This was taken on May 11, 2009

Why Is Google Page 1 So Important?

This is a question I get asked all the time, and I cannot stress how important ranking on page 1 of Google for relevant keywords has become.

Search engines are providing users with better search results all the time and the more this happens the less users are searching deeper and past the first page. This is because they are finding what they need on page 1.

Additionally all the paid ads shown above and to the side of search results are taking a large amount of traffic away from pages listed past the first page. So yes it is very important to rank on page 1 of Google.

Recently a client of ours was ranking on page 2 of Google for a heavily searched and competitive keyword and it was bringing in some decent traffic. Then something happened, they jumped onto page 1 and they could not believe the change in traffic, it soared way above anything they ever expected.

So many potential clients in competitive industries come to us saying “We have to rank on page 1 of Google for a particular term” and you know what, YES THEY DO!

It is simple, whether it be a highly competitive term, or a less competitive long-tail phrase there is no doubt… you need to be ranking on page one of Google for it. this will provide you with a steady stream of targeted organic web traffic. Can find the surprise bonus on the secret link ?

20 Quick Ways to Increase Your Alexa Rank

20 Quick Ways to Increase Your Alexa Rank

alexa-ranking.jpgAlexa.com is a subsidiary of Amazon.com and is a website which provides information on traffic levels for websites. The Alexa rank is measured according to the amount of users who’ve visited a website with the Alexa toolbar installed.

In this article, I’ll examine the importance of the Alexa Rank as it relates to site monetization while briefly discussing some of the weaknesses involved in using Alexa ranking as a reliable traffic measure for any website.

Lastly, I’ve also included an extensive list of twenty methods and strategies you can use to increase your Alexa Rank dramatically in the short and long run.

What is the Alexa Rank?

Put simply, the Alexa Rank is a ranking system which bases its ranking schema on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of people who visit a website with the Alexa toolbar installed.

See Alexa’s definition of the Alexa Traffic Rank:

The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis.

The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users)

Why would you want to increase your Alexa rank?

Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

ReviewMe, Text Link Ads and Sponsored Reviews are just three of the networks which base your ad selling strength on Alexa Ranks.

Problems with the Alexa Rank

Alexa ranking is heavily skewed towards websites which have a large webmaster/tech audience. This is because webmasters or web savvy audiences are much more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed than websites whose visitors are unaware of Alexa.

As such, many have indicated that Alexa is a vastly inaccurate method of measuring a website’s reach, traffic and potential. I don’t disagree.

Alexa is a silly way to measure web traffic but unfortunately, in an imperfect world Alexa is still heavily used by webmasters and ad networks when measuring the value of advertising on your website.

I understand the defects of Alexa’s ranking system and I’m not going to go into more detail about it here. What’s primarily important to me is that the Alexa Rank has become a central element in site monetization strategies.

I’m not concerned with the utility and value of Alexa but it’s perceived importance in the eyes of potential advertisers.

Dosh Dosh’s Alexa Rank

Alexa Traffic Graph for http://www.doshdosh.com

Since moving to my own domain (from Blogspot) in the middle of January 2007, Dosh Dosh has moved from a rank of around 3 million to the current Alexa rank of 21, 709 within two months.

The growth has been consistent and I think most of it was due to the fact that the content on Dosh Dosh is orientated towards webmasters. Another plausible reason is because overall daily traffic for Dosh Dosh has been growing steadily day by day.

The increase in Alexa Rank was also partially due to the fact that I’m active in several webmaster forums, notably Digital Point which sends me some visitors every day. Getting stumbled and receiving thousands of visitors in a day has also undoubtedly helped to increase Dosh Dosh’s Alexa Rank.

How do I get started with Alexa?

There are two easy ways to start using Alexa. If you are using Internet Explorer, visit this page and download the Alexa Toolbar. If you’re using Firefox, download the SearchStatus extension which displays the Alexa Rank, Google PageRank as well as other useful features.

I highly recommend that you use Firefox and SearchStatus instead of Alexa toolbar, which I find to be more bulky and less useful.

Can one actually game or manipulate the Alexa Ranking?

I believe that there are methods which will allow you to easily bring an Alexa ranking in the millions down to the 100,000 level. However, bringing it past the 10,000 or 1,000 mark is a considerably more difficult process, because of the stiff competition among websites.

Some have adamantly stated that there are no proven ways to game Alexa, while others have claimed that auto-surfs and scripts do work to some degree.

I’m not going to take any sides because I can’t guarantee that auto-surfs or other artificial methods will have similar effects for every blog.

The easiest way to know to know if any of the tips mentioned below really work is to actually try them for yourselves and monitor the results.

alexa-toolbar.jpg

20 Ways to Increase your Alexa Rank

Here is a collection of methods you can use to boost your Alexa Rank. Most of these tips are derived from several fellow webmasters I know who claimed to have derived positive results through their experiments with the Alexa Rankings.

Some of the other tips were derived articles and sources, which I have duly referenced at the end of this post.

Do these tips work? According to some, yes they definitely do work. But do note that most of them require active effort of some sort and hence, they will work as long as long as you are consistently performing specific actions.

To increase your Alexa rank in the long run, I would highly recommended that one focus on developing quality content which attracts and maintains a large audience instead of purely focusing on artificially increasing your Alexa Rank.

Great link-worthy content will leads to an natural increase in site traffic and is an excellent way to passively increase your Alexa rank.

It is important to emphasize that you should devote most of your efforts in growing your site audience alongside integrated implementation of any of the following tips below.

1. Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage. This is the most basic step.

2. Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I did this a few days ago and receive a fair amount of clicks every day. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.

3. Encourage others to use the Alexa toolbar. This includes friends, fellow webmasters as well as site visitors/blog readers. Be sure to link to Alexa’s full explanation of their toolbar and tracking system so your readers know what installing the toolbar or extension entails.

4. Work in an Office or own a company? Get the Alexa toolbar or SS Firefox extension installed on all computers and set your website as the homepage for all browsers. Perhaps it will be useful to note that this may work only when dynamic or different IPs are used.

5. Get friends to review and rate your Alexa website profile. Not entirely sure of its impact on rankings but it might help in some way.

6. Write or Blog about Alexa. Webmaster and bloggers love to hear about ways to increase their Alexa rank. They’ll link to you and send you targeted traffic (i.e. visitors with the toolbar already installed). This gradually has effects on your Alexa ranking.

7. Flaunt your URL in webmaster forums. Webmasters usually have the toolbar installed. You’ll get webmasters to visit your website and offer useful feedback. It’s also a good way to give back to the community if you have useful articles to share with others.

8. Write content that is related to webmasters. This can fall in the category of domaining and SEO, two fields in which most webmasters will have the Alexa toolbar installed. Promote your content on social networking websites and webmaster forums.

9. Use Alexa redirects on your website URL. Try this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.doshdosh.com . Replace doshdosh.com with the URL for your website. Leave this redirected URL in blog comments as well as forum signatures. This redirect will count a unique IP address once a day so clicking it multiple times won’t help. There is no official proof that redirects positively benefit your Alexa Rank, so use with caution.

10. Post in Asian social networking websites or forums. Some webmasters have suggested that East Asian web users are big Alexa toolbar fans, judging by the presence of several Asia-based websites in the Alexa Top 500. I suggest trying this only if you have the time or capacity to do so.

11. Create a webmaster tools section on your website. This is a magnet for webmasters who will often revisit your website to gain access to the tools. Aaron Wall’s webpage on SEOTools is a very good example.

12. Get Dugg or Stumbled. This usually brings massive numbers of visitors to your website and the sheer amount will have a positive impact on your Alexa Rank. Naturally, you’ll need to develop link worthy material.

13. Use PayperClick Campaigns. Buying advertisements on search engines such as Google or Exact Seek will help bring in Traffic. Doubly useful when your ad is highly relevant to webmasters.

14. Create an Alexa category on your blog and use it to include any articles or news about Alexa. This acts as an easily accessible resource for webmasters or casual search visitors while helping you rank in the search engines.

15. Optimize your popular posts. Got a popular post that consistently receives traffic from the search engines? Include a widget/graph at the bottom of the post, link to your Alexa post or use Alexa redirection on your internal URLs.

16. Buy banners and links for traffic from webmaster forums and websites. A prominent and well displayed ad will drive lots of webmaster traffic to your website, which can significantly boost your rank.

17. Hire forum posters to pimp your website. Either buy signatures in webmaster forums or promote specific articles or material in your website on a regular basis. You can easily find posters for hire in Digital Point and other webmaster forums.

18. Pay Cybercafe owners to install the Alexa toolbar and set your website as the homepage for all their computers. This might be difficult to arrange and isn’t really a viable solution for most. I’m keeping this one in because some have suggested that it does work.

19. Use MySpace . This is a little shady so I don’t recommended it unless you’re really interested in artificially inflating your Alexa Rank. Use visually attractive pictures or banners and link them to your redirected Alexa URL. This will be most effective if your website has content that is actually relevant to the MySpace Crowd.

20. Try Alexa auto-surfs. Do they work? Maybe for brand new sites. I think they are mostly suitable for new websites with a very poor Alexa rank. Note that there be problems when you try to use auto surfs alongside contextual ads like Adsense. They aren’t also long term solutions to improving your Alexa Rank so I suggest using with caution.

how to get a better google page rank

Google page rank is an important number to be aware of when you are creating content on the Internet. This content can be a web page or any other web presence you have that you are trying to drive traffic to. There are several things you can do to increase page rank so that the search engines display your website at the highest position possible. Everyone that has a website should strive to have to highest page rank possible on their site. This scale is rated from 0-10 (0 being no ranking, 10 having the highest possible rank with Google). Below, I will point out some of the easier things that can be done to increase page rank.

Page rank is a dynamic number given to your website that determines its importance and relevance to the search engine for a given topic. The importance and relevance of your website is decided by all the other sites on the Internet that link to it and their respective page rank. In other words, the more links your website has from high ranking web pages on the Internet, the higher the page rank your site will have. So logically, to increase page rank on your site, you need to have as many sites linking back to your site as possible. These links are referred to as back links.

So why is this important? Having a high page rank means that Google will index your site more frequently than it will other sites with lower or no Google page rank. When Google indexes your site it means that it becomes easier to find when people are searching for the content your site provides. That is the goal correct? We want to have people find our site by searching for the keywords our site represents and ultimately click on our site when they see it at the top of their Google search page. When we have a high page rank, Google thinks our site is important and relevant to display and have readily available when someone searches for related keywords. Then, because we have a high ranking, our reputation is higher, making other websites wanting to link with ours. Now when we create sub sites that are affiliated with our high ranking site, they automatically can increase page rank on their own by having back links from the original site.

So how do you accomplish this on your site? There are several simple tools you can use that effectively increase page rank of your site over time. Everyone uses Twitter and Facebook it seems like today. So why not use that to your advantage. You can update your Facebook status with relevant topics and insert a link back to your main site. Twitter has this capability as well. You are limited on Twitter in terms of characters but you can put the title to a new article that is relevant, or a blog post with a link back to your main site. Writing articles and publishing them on the Internet is an easy way to increase page rank because you can display your sites link on the article you publish. When you have compelling information in your article, many times other sites will pick it up and publish your article on their site - with your credits and links intact. Another great tool are forums. There are a lot of forums on the Internet full of people asking questions about related content. When you post an answer to a question on a forum or comment on someone's blog or article, you can add your link in that post. You will also need to have links from other related websites. Finding "link partners" can be a complicated process, but it can ultimately help you increase Google page rank.

All of these things will increase the rank on your site over time, but the most important thing you can do to is to keep the content on your main website dynamic, current and fresh. You want to change the content on your site as frequently as possible so that it will not seem stale to Google. If Google finds that your site is no longer relevant because of old information, it will slow its indexing. There is one caveat to all this however. In order to increase page rank using these methods, the sites with links to your website need to be related to your site in some fashion. So just obtaining random back links from whomever you can easily grab a link back from, will not increase you page rank.

Ultimately this is not the only thing you need to focus on when designing a website and marketing it to your target audience, but it makes drawing traffic to your site easier and is important to understand. You want to have the highest reputation possible on the Internet.

10 ways to increase you sites google page rank

Top 10 Ways to increase your PageRank ™
NUMBER 1
Use lots of meta keyword tags. Use it WITH Commas. Make sure you don't repeat the same word more than 3 times in a row. Google only indexes the first 101K of the document - so don't use TOO many.
NUMBER 2
Make sure you include at least one link to Google. They need quality traffic as well. Don't be greedy and hog it all to yourself. This can do wonders for your pages. Remember - Google may be going public soon - so the more traffic you send them the better.
NUMBER 3
Use invisible text but make it close - colors like 00FF33 & 00FF66 are both browser safe, but are so close most humans can't tell the difference. Even though Google has over 50 Phds on staff - none of them probably know this - so use it - the bottom of the page is a good place - right above what you will learn in number 4. Use your mouse to highlight what is written in the box below to see what I mean.

SEE IT IS INVISIBLE

Table above using
NUMBER 4
Dots, Dots, and More Dots. Put them at the bottom of your document like this:
.............
Then link each one to your pages - make sure you link one to Google and for good measure another to Yahoo. Don't link to other sites (other than your own) that aren't search engines. Don't even link to sites that used to be search engines - like AltaVista.
NUMBER 5
This tip is probably the most powerful one on here. Make at least three pages on your site and link them as follows:
Page 1 >>>>>> Page 2
Page 2 >>>>>> Page 3
And this is the kicker
Page 3 >>>>>> Page 1

Google will give points to page 2 from page 1, then to page 3 from page 2, and then - if you link it back to page 1 - it starts all over again. I can't even count how many points this will end up giving you. Just don't abuse it too much - or the big sites will complain you are taking too much PR from them.
NUMBER 6
Use H1 Tags for your entire page (except the title and other header information). You can use CSS Style sheets to make them look smaller and Google will give you bookoo points for having everything so big on the page (even though it doesn't look big to the user).
NUMBER 7
Submit early and submit often. I prefer to submit on a Sunday. That way - on Monday morning - the Googleplex will be swamped with so much to do - my submits will slip by. See the Googleplex hard at work. Would you work to ban submits if you could get FREE goat cheese (especially after doing two days without). Wouldn't you rather play "chopsticks" on a grand piano while getting a massage? Or look at pages all day of Britney Spears?
NUMBER 8

Link back too other people linking to your page using link:www.example.org.
This is similar to the technique in #5, but not as powerful.
NUMBER 9
Be careful spelling. Words like "PENS" and "ANGINA" can easily be mispelled to be words of the male and female anatomy respectively. This will cause Google to mistake your site for an ADUL† Site - and get it banned. Noticed how I used a special character to look like the letter "T" in the word before site. Use clever tricks like this throughout your documents.
NUMBER 10

If all else fails - mail a 10 spot wrapped inside a number 10 envelope (make sure you wrap one layer of aluminum foil around it). Write your URL above the serial number on the front. If it won't fit, then that's THE problem - as Google hates long URLs.

5 steps to increase your google page rank

5 Steps to Increase your Google Page Rank.

By Charles Nixon

Buzz This

Google Page rank is based on back links. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another website. The more back links you have the higher your PR will be.

1. Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. But another important note to look on is making sure the forum is somewhat related to your website. You will still get credit if it's not, but if it's related to your website than you will be accomplishing two tasks at once.

You will be advertising for your website (bringing in targeted traffic) You will also be building your websites presence.

Your websites presence is very important to your survival. The more people see, or hear about your website the more credibility you will have and this increases your chances of having these visitors come back and possibly become leads.

2. Submit to search engine directories. Search engine directories are a good way to get a free link to your website. They also increase your chances at being listed higher on popular search engines like Google, and overture.

Most search engine directories allow you to submit to their website for free. This will allow you to increase your web presence by being listed on another search engine, and it will also be a free link.

Remember the more links you have the higher your PR will be

3. Using ezine ads (or newsletters). Creating an ezine will probably be the most beneficial step you can take to increasing your web presence. When you create an ezine you will be able to keep visitors coming back to your website for more by using signatures and giving special deals.

Ezine's will also allow you to increase your back links. By creating an ezine you can submit your information about your ezine to an ezine directory. This directory will than link to your website(thus giving you a free link).

4. Creating and publishing articles. Articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. You can include your signature in your article. This will bring in more traffic from article submission directories.

Your signature usually consists of 4 to 8 lines. Usually the first line would be the title of the website that you are trying to advertise. The last line would be the link to the website and the lines in between these would be a sales pitch to draw your viewers into your website.

5. Links from related websites. Gaining links from related websites can be one of the most frustrating tasks you can attempt.

They are very easy to find, but can be somewhat difficult to obtain links from.

To find related websites, all you have to do is go to a search engine... say Google... and type in your subject. Maybe your website is based on ford mustangs.

You go to Google and type in ford mustangs, than you look around for pages that are somewhat related to your website. After you have done this (which should be very easy) you have to contact them in some way to get your link posted on their website. This can be the most difficult task because a lot of webmasters ignore e-mail's from people requesting links because they don't see the importance of it at the time. Some other reasons could be that they are rarely online, or they delete spam mail and sometimes delete their important emails in the process.

Important note: When looking for link partners don't just link with websites that have a page rank of 4 or higher. Link with anyone and everyone you get a chance to. If you link to someone that has a page rank of zero, this will not hurt your page rank. It will only increase it because you are getting a link back to your website. Google doesn't look at your back links page ranks to determine what yours is going to be. It simply looks at how many back links you have.

So if Google one day decided to link to a website that was just created and this website has a page rank of 0 and has a domain that goes something like this: mywebsite.geocities.com it's page rank wouldn't increase even though Google's page rank is 10, it's rank would still be zero because it would only have that one back link.
